If they have already completed the full 12 month quality work experience then they will not be eligible to participate again. If however the youth participates for less than 8 months and has not completed the programme, then they may be afforded an equal opportunity.
It is the responsibility of the contracting company to confirm that youth have not participated in the programme before contracting with them. Failure to do so will result in the youth not being eligible and the company may not qualify for the B-BBEE level-up benefit.
If YES must conduct an induction at a location beyond a 50km radius of Johannesburg, the Client shall be liable for and pay all expenses incurred by YES (including travel costs, accommodation costs, venue hire, equipment hire etc.) to conduct the induction.
It is the contracting sponsor company responsibility to ensure that the young person benefitting from this amazing job has not participated in the YES programme before! This is because we all want to give as many young people as possible the chance to benefit from your life-changing year-long work experience. Our concern is that if you fail to check before contracting the youth, it will cause great disappointment and will compromise your B-BBEE target as the youth will not be eligible to participate as a YES youth twice.
YES cannot take responsibility for youth misrepresenting this information.
